For the work that refuses to stay in its lane.

The space no circle makes. That is where the work lives. In the overlap, the intersection, the space that exists where two things come together and produce a third.

Vesica Press was founded to publish that third thing. Work made at the collision of disciplines. Where the essay is an image. Where the research is a poem. Where the argument can only be made in the making. Transdisciplinary in the genuine sense: the kind of meeting that changes what is possible.

We are not interested in work that sits comfortably within a single tradition. We are interested in what happens when writers, researchers, artists and thinkers go further than they were told to go, into untrodden territory, and come back with something still warm, still nameless.

We do not ask whether work is poetry or criticism or research. We ask whether it knows something. We ask whether it could only exist in the form it has taken.

If the answer to both is yes - send it.
